Lore and Info
Apathetic Crystalline Healer
Age: 31
Gender: Female, She/Her
Orientation: Ace
Race: Xaela Au Ra
Job: Healer (Astrologian/White Mage)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Likes: Acceptable salaries, painting, dry sarcasm.
Dislikes: Dogs, denial of medical care, ignorance, tea.
Frequented Location: La Noscea
The apathetic healer for her adventuring party with bit of a mean streak. She's the highest paid member and refuses to value her work for any less, even if she's already wealthy.
Despite being born and raised in the Qestir Clan, she left on poor terms shortly after adulthood and eventually found her way to Limsa Lominsa. She has also taken up the spoken word, even if most of her comments are dry, cutting, or just plain rude. In Limsa, she befriended Lei'a, a Miqote herbalist who introduced her to her current adventuring coworkers, Huxing and Jasparl.
While she has a moon motif, she's quietly unsure about the origin of the crystalline elements that seem to afflict her horns and scales. The more that she channels heavy duty magic, the more it seems to consume her.

Insomniac Workaholic Mercenary
Age: 27
Gender: Male, He/Him
Orientation: Gay
Race: Raen Au Ra
Job: Mercenary (Machinist)
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Likes: Cats, sparring with Huxing, fixing things, traveling.
Dislikes: Wasting money, white lies, people trying to control/manipulate him.
Frequented Location: Wherever his work takes him.
Jasparl tends to be the brute, efficient firepower for the job. And for most people? That's all that he needs to be. He's a workaholic, often stacking multiple tasks at once and refuses breaks. It's less about the money and more about accomplishment in a way.
It's often hidden behind the menial tasks that he does, but he's obsessed with power. He feels if he gathers enough, then he truly can just live life peacefully without others shoving their way in, Garlean or no. He hasn't explicitly told his siblings, but they can tell something's up. He continues to take on more and more dangerous and challenging tasks to reach this impossible goal.
When they were young, he and his sister Jinaera (they ended up disagreeing about splitting the last name) escaped Garlean rule in their home country. They worked odd jobs all of the way to Gridania, where they both independently met Huxing. Jinaera adopted him as a new sibling and Jasparl got the shock of coworker turned family. He and Huxing do most of the adventuring, although they disagree on whether it's being an Adventurer or Mercenary.

Floral Romantic Knight
Age: 28
Gender: Female, She/Her
Orientation: Straight
Race: Ishgardian Elezen

Halima is from an incredibly low ranked Noble house in Ishgard. She readily trained as a knight to join in the war efforts and worked diligently, but over time she felt her morale flag as she wondered if this really was the way to save people.
When her more aristocratic friend, Florentel, found his family convicted of heretical work and sought to redeem only his own name, she joined him. They both left Ishgard, hoping to make a difference.
She and Florentel found themselves in Ul'dah and promptly suffered heatstroke trying to find work there. Eventually, Florentel befriended a local named Suen and the trio worked more and more jobs together. There were several sources of disagreements due to vastly different life experiences.

Lackadaisical Double-Crossing Spy
Age: 107
Gender: Male, He/Him
Orientation: Pansexual
Race: Veena Viera
Job: Wartime Mercenary (Dark Knight/Monk)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Likes: His wife, expensive clothes, a job well done, physical labor.
Dislikes: Overly stern coworkers, Kirin calling him old, people underestimating him.
Frequented Location: Gyr Abania, war fronts
A self confident mercenary, Ozymandias has the experience to back his bravado and (sometimes unnecessary) showmanship. He's worked in a lot of professions over the years, slowly wandering into the less and less legal side of things. Although, now he and his wife Queen have found the perfect occupation for them in terms of bang for buck.
War Profiteering.
Before his work with blood and coin, Ozy plied his trade in physical labor, including mining, forestry, and anything else that needed a good lift.
After a particularly bad brigand raid on the foresting camp that he was currently working, Ozy found out that he had a knack for hurting people. It must help that he was over a foot taller than the average Viera and built like a tank.
He and his wife, Queen, both work on the frontlines of Garlean conflicts, with Ozy working with Garlean forces and Queen working with the opposition. They've worked for years to find themselves in the perfect "middle management" position. They help and sabotage in equal measure, doing just enough to be held in high esteem, but also undermining enough to keep the conflict going. And keep their pay coming.

Roleplay Hooks
♞ Gridanian Labor: Used to work in one of the major (illegal) timber camps in Gridania before things went south. He was a frequent site in those areas around 15-20 years ago before disappearing.
♞ A Familiar Face: He wears the worst "disguises" whenever out and about doing civilian work, normally just electing to throw on an oversized sweater over his work gear. He's not hard to spot from prior jobs or just his line of mercenary work in general.
♞War Profiteer: Very rarely, he's been spotted on the frontlines of major conflicts, including those with the Garlean Empire. He was probably just a sword for hire, although he's been on a few too many to be a coincidence.
-- Guild
Not a person, per se, but the group that Ozy and Queen belong to. It's an organization of largely independent individuals who find specific jobs on their own. The guild provides information and connection to specialists, rather than handling the contract work itself. They come in handy when urgent medical attention is needed (no matter the Eorzean country) or one decides to actually do some digging into information.
Queen
His wife, who he's head over heels for. They first met when working for the same Guild and it was several missions later than he professed interest in her, only to be immediately shot down. She doesn't mix business and personal. He took it with grace and kept on with work as usual, typical banter and all.Months later, after a particularly vicious mission, she suddenly flips on her position, deciding fuck it, we do dangerous enough work, anyway. What's the worst that could happen?
Kirin
Some sad orphaned urchin of Limsa Lominsa (like there weren't enough of those already) that Ozy got a soft spot for against his will. He met Kirin when returning to the port city during an extended break and found the kid scrabbling their way through the same line of work. It was as if they kept running into each other no matter what tasks they ended up picking up, mundane or otherwise.Eventually, Ozy took on more of a mentorship role with Kirin, showing them the more professional side of the business and how to handle yourself without getting killed or making too stupid of a mistake. While Ozy quietly sees Kirin as a protege or even a younger family member, his wife Queen is not too fond of the stray that he's picked up.
Jasparl
Ozy has rarely worked with this Au ra and he'd rather keep it that way. He feels unnerved around him, even if he doesn't admit it. There's some gut instinct that things can go bad fast and despite his own constant self assuredness, he doesn't think he can win if it comes down to it.

Timeline
Departure from the Homeland
Ozy left his homeland in his twenties, thoroughly unhappy with the isolation that it enforced. He bounced around different countries, trying his hand at a variety of professions. His incredible height and build provided a lot of opportunities with physical labor. His worsening gambling addiction led to him taking seedier jobs as he kept on the move and barely out of debt.

Event
Ozy and Queen barely managed to fend off a Primal force, leaving them both heavily scarred. After a grueling recovery process, they agreed to never take jobs that concerned primals or similar forces.
